Working with Me
I love working with parents and kids and built my clinical practice supporting struggling families. But I wanted to do more. I wanted to be more available than clinical work allowed, I wanted to be more inclusive and more hands on, which is why I shifted to an asynchronous coaching model. We get faster results when we’re able to dig in and stay focused through the process of dismantling the traps of child anxiety.
The wonderful parents I work with are highly attuned, thoughtful, and intense parents who are really hard on themselves. Just like their kids.

How the program works
Join Now and Start Right Away
- My program is based on exposures; helping kids learn to face their anxiety in structured and supportive ways.
- I teach YOU to design and work the intervention so you can take it and reapply it whenever you need it.
- The work we do is personalized, taking into account your particular child’s needs, strengths, and goals.
- You can cancel or put your account on hold at any time, making it easy to re-enroll whenever you need me.
As soon as you join you get access to the Introductory Course and get a video welcome from me as well as an invitation to get started in ClarityFlow, the coaching software I use to keep us in touch. You’ll also get a course from Eve Hermann LMT SEP to help bring greater calm to your family through her guided somatic practice.
I ask a lot of questions
I may give you assignments including things to read, assessments to take, or discussions to have in order to learn more about you, your child, what’s important to your family, and where you want to end up.
And I give a lot of support
I offer guidance on typical and atypical child development, what to expect for your particular child, and share resources that might be helpful to you in your journey.
Together we design a clear intervention to help your child begin to face their anxiety and we work that plan, tweaking it and refining it as we go. All along the way you’re sharing your challenges (so we can face them) and your successes (so we can celebrate them!) When you (and your child) have reached your goals, we reassess. If you’re ready to graduate, hooray! If there’s more you want to work on, I’m there for you.
02. CBT Family
The CBT Family Toolbox is a collection of resources, ideas, games, and activities to bring cognitive behavioral tools to your family. Along with a course explaining how the Toolbox works, you get access to 100+ entries across seven different browsable categories to help you educate and support your anxious child. Free with the One to One program, you can also buy the CBT Family Toolbox as a stand alone monthly membership.
Still have Questions?
I am a therapist but not your (or your child’s) therapist and this is NOT counseling. When I’m working with clients in the Child Anxiety Support program I am operating as an educator and facilitator. We will be moving forward with clear goals and I will be coaching you every step of the way.
Some of the parents in this program are also getting therapy and sometimes their children are getting therapy. In those cases, I encourage the parents to talk to their and/or their child’s therapist to make sure that working with me makes sense for their family at this time. Sometimes therapists want to check with me to learn more about the program and make sure it’s a good fit for their clients. I’m happy to discuss this with them as long as those parents have signed the necessary releases of information that allow me to do so.
The program is effective for little kids, big kids and teens. If you have specific questions about it I encourage you to schedule a consultation with me so we can discuss the specifics of what’s happening in your family to help you make the best decision for yourself and your child.
No, your child does not need a formal diagnosis. We will explore the nature and shape of your child’s anxiety but because I will be working directly with you, I will not be diagnosing them. If you feel your child would be best served by getting a formal diagnosis, I encourage you to reach out to a therapist who can offer these services. This is also something we can discuss in the program.
Obviously if your child DOES or has ever received an official anxiety or OCD diagnosis, that’s fine, too.
I bring three decades of experience working with little kids, big kids, teens, adults and families to my time with you. My work as a therapist in private practice; parent educator; preschool teacher; family case manager; and family studies college instructor have all given me the skills and knowledge to assist you in changing patterns that no longer serve yourself or your child.
My masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my post-graduate certification in Infant-Toddler Mental Health, as well as my training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), maternal mental health, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy further inspires our work together.
The one to one program is $200/month and you can cancel at anytime. This is less than the cost of a weekly co-pay and I can be more flexible in our work together. If you join and decide the format doesn’t work for you, just cancel within the first 14 days and you’ll get a full refund.
CBT Family Toolbox is included in the one to one program or you can subscribe to a la carte for $11/month. Because it’s such a small amount, there is no trial period for CBT Family.
You get two weeks to try the program to see if this is a format that will work for you. Just cancel within the first 14 days and you’ll get a full refund.
